Health and Safety.
Absolute Clean takes health and safety at work very seriously, for both our employees and the general public in the area we are working.
All our staff adheres to a strict health and safety policy.
Training and PPE.
As a basic principle.
All our staff and contractors are expected to be fully trained for the task they are performing ensuring safe working practices.
Basic tasks such as handling and using equipment right through to ensuring equipment is PAT tested and visual checks are performed.
Items with short life spans such as harness, or PPE are replaced at regular intervals and check sheets are provided for all equipment.
Staff and contractors are provided with relevant PPE such as gloves, hard hats, work boots, uniforms, and goggles for the task in hand. Each staff member or contractor has access to a fully equipped first aid kit.
Risk Assessment and Method Statements:
For any task we perform, we are able to provide a set of written risk assessments and method statements if required, signed by both the client and our staff before work begins.
COSHH covers substances that are hazardous to health. Substances can take many forms and include:
- Products containing chemicals
- Gases and asphyxiating gases
- Biological agents
COSHH does not cover
- Radioactive substances
Every chemical we use has a COSHH assessment and material data sheet, kept in the vehicle in which it is carried.
We undertake training in all relevant fields to ensure our safety when working on site. We hold accreditations/training in IPaf, PASMA, Heavy Lifting, Harness and Fall arrest, CSCS, and First Aid Training.
